1. Introduction

The Chronex application, developed and operated by Toralle Lda (NIF: 518102564, hereinafter "Toralle"), is an auxiliary time tracking tool for TVDE (ride-hailing) drivers in Portugal. This Privacy Policy explains how Chronex handles its users' information.

2. Data Processed

Chronex processes the following types of information, always locally on your device:

Chronex transmits zero personal data to any external server. Everything stays on your device.

3. Data We Do NOT Collect

• GPS location or geolocation data
• Contacts, messages, or call logs
• Email, phone number, or personal identifiers for Toralle's use
• Usage behavior or browsing habits
• Advertising identifiers
• Analytics or tracking data

4. Firebase Crashlytics

Chronex uses Firebase Crashlytics by Google to detect and diagnose app crashes. Crashlytics automatically collects:

• Device model and operating system version
• Crash logs and stack traces
• App state at the time of crash

This data is anonymous and does not include any personal information, shift data, or driver details. Crashlytics data is processed by Google under their Firebase Privacy Policy.

5. Network Access

• Public holiday data: Fetching Portuguese public holidays from a public API (date.nager.at) to display in the calendar
• Crash reporting: Sending anonymous crash data via Firebase Crashlytics

No personal or shift data is ever transmitted over the network.

6. Data Security

• Exclusively local storage, protected by Android sandboxing
• Sensitive preferences use Android EncryptedSharedPreferences
• PIN stored as SHA-256 hash — the actual PIN is never stored
• Shift records use SHA-256 hash chains to ensure data integrity
• Optional biometric authentication (fingerprint/face) for app access
• Code obfuscation (R8) against reverse engineering
• External communications via HTTPS (encrypted in transit)

7. Data Retention and Deletion

• You can delete all data at any time in the app: More → Tools → Clear Data
• Uninstalling the app automatically removes all local data
• Android Settings → Apps → Chronex → Storage → Clear Data also removes all data

8. Your Rights (GDPR)

• Access — All your data is visible directly in the app
• Portability — Export your data via More → Tools → Export
• Erasure — Delete all data via Clear Data or by uninstalling the app
• Rectification — Edit your profile and vehicle information within the app

Since Toralle does not store your data on any server, most rights are exercised directly through the app.

9. Children's Privacy

Chronex is a professional tool intended for licensed TVDE drivers (18+). The application is not intended for users under 18 years of age. Toralle does not knowingly collect data from minors.

10. Changes to This Policy

Toralle may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with the updated revision date. Continued use of Chronex after changes constitutes acceptance.
